Who we are at Swift Racing Canada
Samuel Lavoie
I’ve spent most of my life in sport, but fell in love with rowing at the first-ever North American Coastal event over ten years ago. I then spent my time rowing at dozens of clubs across the country, which ended with taking a year down at the University of Oklahoma coaching D1. After personally placing 16th in Canada at the NRC regatta and ranking first for Canada at the World Coastal Championships, I settled in Kingston to coach and develop coastal rowing in the area. While staying active I’m hoping to bring the emerging sport of coastal rowing to the rest of Canada!

John continues develop the sport as the head coach for the Kingston Rowing Club, while also pushing into the newly surfacing coastal rowing community. Together with Sam he hopes to help bring rowing of all types to everyone in Canada.
